Abe Lincoln was a Failure

It is important to periodically remind the kids and teens you work with that we all have to deal with failure.  That the road to living up to our potential and achieving our greatest accomplishments will be paved with failure, after failure, after failure.  We can’t let these inevitable setbacks get us down.  Heck, even the greatest of all time have failed over and over again.  

This activity will help them to acknowledge and put their own failures in perspective, not as a negative thing but as a path to ultimate success.
