It is New Years Resolution time! The time of year many of us commit to making positive changes in our lives. Yet, while most of us start out the year with great intentions, by February these ideas have fallen by the wayside.
This year improve your chances of following through with your resolutions, and accomplishing your goals, by trying a different type of visualization technique – a visualization board.
A visualization board is similar to a collage you may have made back in school or helped your children create. It is a single sheet of paper with various pictures pasted on it. The pictures can be from newspapers, magazines, or printed off the Internet.
Try this great technique for 2015. Find pictures that relate to the resolution, or goal, you have set for the year and paste them on a single sheet of paper. For example, if you want to lose weight, find a picture of someone with the body type you are hoping to achieve. Maybe even paste a picture of your smiling face on that body.
Each day, look at the visualization board with excitement and confidence. Then determine one thing you are going to do that day to make the picture a reality in your life - and do it before the end of the day. Continue this pattern the next day, the next day, and so on.
I am confident this visualization technique, along with the daily steps your are taking, will result in you following through on those resolutions. At the end of the year you will look back with a proud, satisfying sense of accomplishment from making the pictures on the visualization board a reality in your life.
Wishing you success in all aspects of life,
