A recent study by Dr. Gail Matthews of Dominican University of California found three keys to achieving goals. In this study participants were divided into five different groups. Dr. Matthews found that, “Group 5 achieved significantly more than all the other groups.”
What did group 5 do to achieve significantly more? Well, they wrote down their goals, formulated action commitments and then sent their goals, action commitments and weekly progress reports to a supportive friend.
So, to increase your chances of achieving those goals you have set in your life, be sure to:
1. Write down your goals
2. Make a public commitment to achieve those goals
3. Find an accountability partner to whom you can send weekly progress reports
