Last week I wrote about the importance of having more than just a basic blueprint of your goal when you are visualizing. You need to fill in that blueprint and make it as detailed as possible. All the experts in this area convey how critical this is to success.
What can you do to fill in that blueprint?
Whenever I am asked this I tell people to focus on all of their senses as well as their feelings. For instance:
Sight: You want to be a millionaire. In your mind, pull up your investment accounts on the computer and behold the exact calculated balance (down to the penny) of those accounts at the bottom of the screen.
Taste: You want to take a trip to France someday. As you visualizing that goal, picture yourself in a restaurant in Paris. Taste the fine wine as it passes across your lips. Savor the delicious French delicacies as you place them in your mouth.
Smell: You want a new car. As you visualize yourself sitting in the driver's seat of that car take a moment to pause and soak in that wonderful new car smell.
Touch: You want to graduate from college. Visualize your graduation day. As you walk up to receive your diploma feel yourself proudly shaking the hand of the professor shaking with your right hand and taking the diploma in your left.
Hearing: You have an important presentation to give. During your visualization of you successfully completing that presentation hear the audience laughing at your humorous stories and listen to the roar of applause when you conclude that great speech.
Feelings: You are in search of that special someone to share the rest of your life with. Feel the warmth, love, and connection between you and the love of your life as you visualize embracing each other.
This week try to incorporate one or two of the items above into your daily visualization practice.
Wishing you success in all aspects of life,
