If you haven’t seen the Chewbacca Mom video yet, take a look at it below. How can this keep you healthy? Well, remember the old saying, an apple a day keeps the doctor away? It seems that laughter a day keeps the doctor away is true too.
Dr. William Fry is a researcher who studies the benefits of laughter and refers to it as “internal jogging.” When you laugh, your body experiences changes similar to aerobic activity – initial increase in blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate and skeletal muscle activity, followed by blood pressure, heart rate, and metabolism being reduced below baseline.
Studies have shown that laughter may positively influence heart health, reduce pain and discomfort, and even restore healthy flora in the gut.
Have you laughed today? If not, you are missing out on a great opportunity to have some fun and improve your health.
This week proactively do 1-2 things that make you laugh – watch a funny movie or TV show, take a friend that always makes you laugh out for lunch, etc.
Wishing you success in all aspects of life,
