How are you doing with the daily commitment you made last week to (1) review and visualize your goal, and (2) take a small step toward that goal?

This week let me provide you with some more specifics on ways to make part one of the commitment more effective.  Below are some specifics on how to structure the visualization exercise so it leads to a quicker realization of the goal you have set.

  • What to Visualize = Visualize your life as if the goal has already been achieved.  Be as specific and detailed as possible.  Clearly visualize the sights, sounds, feelings, etc. you will experience when that goal is achieved.
  • Length of Time = At least 5 minutes.  This will give you enough time to clearly visualize all the details and experience the feelings of joy and happiness that will become a reality once the goal is achieved.
  • Location = A quiet, peaceful place.  Find a secluded place in your home, in your yard, or visualize while in your bed.
  • Time of Day = Right before you fall asleep.  This is my favorite time to visualize.  The house is quiet and I can visualize in my bed just before I drift off to sleep.  This time is ideal for placing the goal firmly in your subconscious mind which will allow that part of your mind to work on the goal while you are asleep.  Many times when I do this I wake up in the middle of the night with a great idea that will help me move closer to the achievement of my goal.  When this happens I quickly jot the idea down in the notes app of my smartphone so I don't forget it and can begin to implement the idea in the morning.

Well, those are a few tips on how to make your visualization practice more successful.  Begin today to incorporate these ideas into your daily goal visualization commitment and continue this throughout the month.  I am certain you will be amazed by the tremendous strides you make toward your goal with this improved technique and the little daily actions you take toward your goal.

Wishing you success in all aspects of life,
